Time & Date

Working Days Between Dates Calculator

Count Monday-to-Friday working days between two dates, excluding weekends.

—

This result is the number of Monday-to-Friday days in the chosen period, counting both the start and end dates when they fall on weekdays.

Formula

Working days = count of dates from start to end inclusive whose weekday is Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are skipped.

How it works

Pick the start and end dates. The calculator walks day by day and counts only Monday-to-Friday dates, inclusive of both ends. Public holidays are not excluded, because they vary by country and region.

Worked example

For example, from 2026-10-26 to 2026-10-30 there are 5 working days, because each of the five dates from Monday to Friday counts and no weekend day falls in that range.

FAQs

Are public holidays excluded?
No. Only weekends are excluded; holidays vary by place, so subtract any holidays in your period manually.

Is the count inclusive?
Yes. Both the start and end dates count if they are weekdays.

What if the range is a single weekend day?
The result is 0, since no weekday falls in the range.
