Walking Time Calculator
Work out how long a walk will take from distance and walking speed.
The result is the estimated time the walk will take at the speed entered, not including breaks or rests.
Formula
Walking time equals distance divided by speed, converted from hours to minutes.
How it works
Distance divided by speed gives hours, multiplied by 60 for minutes. Breaks, crossings and hills are not included, so add time for those on a real route.
Worked example
For example, a distance of 5 km at a speed of 5 km/h takes 5 ÷ 5 × 60 = 60 minutes (1h 00m).
