TDEE Calculator
Estimate total daily energy expenditure by multiplying BMR by an activity factor.
The result is a daily maintenance estimate, so eating around this many calories should keep weight roughly steady.
Formula
TDEE equals BMR multiplied by an activity factor from 1.2 for sedentary up to 1.9 for extremely active.
How it works
The page first estimates BMR, then scales it by the activity level you pick. That gives a maintenance-energy estimate: eat around this level and weight should stay roughly steady, before other factors.
Worked example
For example, a man weighing 70 kg, 175 cm tall and aged 30 who is moderately active has an estimated BMR of 1649 kcal per day, giving an estimated TDEE of 2556 kcal per day.
FAQs
Which activity level should I pick?
Be honest about a typical week, not your busiest day.
Is TDEE exact?
No. It is a starting estimate; adjust after a few weeks of tracking.
What if my job and training differ?
