Time & Date
Days Since Date Calculator
Find how many days have passed since a past date.
The result is the number of whole days that have passed since the past date entered.
Formula
Days since = later date minus the earlier date, in whole days.
How it works
Enter the past date and the date to measure up to. The calculator reports whole days elapsed, useful for tracking how long ago an event, purchase, or milestone happened.
Worked example
For example, from 1 January 2026 up to 28 October 2026, 300 days have passed.
FAQs
Is the past date itself counted?
No. The gap is measured from that date, so the next day is 1 day since.
Can I measure up to today?
Yes. Set the second date to today and the result is the days elapsed so far.
What about future dates?
If the first date is after the second, the calculator notes that it lies in the future.
