Paycheck After Tax Calculator
Estimate take-home pay per paycheck from salary and a tax rate you enter.
The result shows the take-home pay per paycheck and the annual take-home pay after the tax rate entered is applied.
Formula
Take-home per paycheck equals salary times one minus tax rate divided by 100, divided by paychecks per year.
How it works
Real paychecks also lose pension, health, and other deductions, and tax is usually bracketed, so this single-rate estimate is rough. Enter the effective rate you expect for a closer figure.
Worked example
For example, a $60,000 salary at a 20% tax rate gives $48,000.00 a year after tax, which is $4,000.00 per paycheck over 12 paychecks.
