Cone Volume Calculator
Find the volume of a cone from its radius and height.
The result, shown as Volume, is the amount of space inside the cone in cubic units, based on the radius and height entered.
Formula
Cone volume = (1 ÷ 3) × π × radius squared × height.
How it works
Enter the radius of the base and the height. A cone holds exactly one third of the cylinder with the same base and height.
Worked example
For example, with a radius of 3 and a height of 9, the volume is (1 ÷ 3) × π × 3 squared × 9 = 27 × π = 84.8230 cubic units.
FAQs
What does the Cone Volume do?
It takes the values you enter and works out the cone volume for you, showing the result straight away.
What should I enter?
Enter ordinary numbers in the boxes above. If a value does not make sense for this calculation, the page will ask you to check it instead of showing a wrong answer.
Can I use the result for homework or everyday math?
Yes. It is a general-purpose math helper; for exam or professional work, still check the steps against your own working.
